ITINERARY (Some parts of the itinerary may involve bullet train or boat travel.)
Day 1 | Rome - Ostia Antica - Naples/Sorrento
Arrive at Rome airport and meet your tour escort. Travel to Ostia Antica for a guided tour of the ancient Roman port excavations. Continue south to Sorrento/Naples area and check in. Evening at leisure to enjoy the coast.
Day 2 | Pompeii - Mount Vesuvius
Morning guided visit of Pompeii excavations. In the afternoon, ascend Mount Vesuvius with an alpine guide, enjoying panoramic views and learning about its history. Return to Sorrento.
Day 3 | Amalfi Coast and Positano
Full-day excursion along the Amalfi Coast. Visit Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello with their stunning coastal views, historic churches, and charming streets. Optional short walks or local tastings. Return to Sorrento in the evening.
Day 4 | Naples
A full day exploring Naples with a guide: historic center, Spaccanapoli, Piazza del Plebiscito, and Naples Cathedral. Descend into Galleria Borbonica, the underground tunnel network. Late afternoon transfer to Rome.
Day 5 | Imperial Rome
Morning guided tour of Imperial Rome, including Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Afternoon free for optional activities or leisure.
Day 6 | Imperial Rome
Morning Baroque Rome: Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps. Afternoon visit to Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Morning visit to early Christian Catacombs along the Appian Way. Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to Basilica of San Clemente or Church of San Giovanni in Laterano.
Day 8 | Optional Tivoli Excursion / Villa Borghese
Option 1: Full-day excursion to Tivoli to visit Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa.
Option 2: Explore Villa Borghese gardens and museums, with free time in Rome for shopping or leisure.
Day 9 | Departure
Check out and transfer to Rome airport for departure.
