Day 1 - Welcome to Italy and Florence Tour
Arrive in Tuscany and enjoy a guided tour of Florence, including the Accademia Gallery (Michelangelo’s David). Lunch on your own.
After the visit, travel to Piombino and board the ferry to Elba Island — a Mediterranean paradise and your home for the next two days.
Check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 - Marine Biology Experience on Elba Island
After breakfast, dive into a fascinating marine biology day!
A local marine biologist will introduce the unique features of the Mediterranean Sea and Elba’s surrounding waters through an engaging multimedia presentation.
Then, head to the sea for a guided snorkeling session, or scuba diving for those who prefer** , using ID cards to spot and recognize marine species.
A light lunch with pizza, focaccia, snacks, and drinks will be served between sessions.
Back on land, the group will review observations and receive a certificate of completion.
Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 3 - The Wild Heart of Elba
After breakfast, set off on an unforgettable guided trek through the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
Led by expert local guides, this hike blends nature, culture, and adventure, with the route tailored to the group’s fitness level and weather conditions.
Along the trail, learn about Elba’s geology, flora, wildlife, and colorful history — from ancient civilizations to Napoleon’s exile.
After the experience, return to the hotel for dinner, and if you wish, enjoy an evening stroll and a well-earned gelato in town.
Day 4 - Back to the mainland and Pisa Tower
After breakfast, sail back to the mainland and enjoy the scenic ferry ride across the Tuscan coast. Upon arrival, board your private coach to Pisa for a guided tour of its world-famous Leaning Tower and the stunning Campo dei Miracoli.
After the visit, continue to your hotel in the Lucca area, where you can unwind and enjoy some well-deserved free time.
Day 5 - Full Day in Livorno
After breakfast, head to Livorno, a major Tuscan port, and meet a local biologist for The Tuscan Fisherman’s Morning Route. Explore the market, chat with fishermen about Mediterranean species, and grab a snack as you go.
Continue to a nearby lab, passing the fishing docks, for a hands-on session analyzing trawl discards and studying commercial fish species through morphometric data.
After lunch (on own), move to a Livorno beach for an environmental activity—collecting, sorting, and classifying man-made waste following official protocols.
End the day with free time for a swim before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Day 6 - Carrara Marble Experience & Journey to Liguria
After breakfast and check-out, board your private coach and head toward Liguria!
On the way, stop in Carrara for a fascinating marble experience — a journey into the world of the world-famous Carrara marble. **
The day includes a 4x4 quarry tour to admire the impressive marble caves and learn about modern extraction techniques, and a hands-on sculpting workshop, where each participant will carve their own small marble piece to take home.
After lunch in the area, visit the Marble Quarry Museum, featuring tools and machines used from Roman times to the present day.
In the late afternoon, continue to Liguria for check-in at your hotel in the Genoa area.

Day 7 - Marine Orienteering & SUP Games
After breakfast and check-out, set out for the spectacular Bay of Paraggi, where a full day of outdoor fun awaits. Test your sense of direction with exciting orienteering challenges, then dive into the crystal-clear waters for stand-up paddleboard (SUP) games) along the breathtaking Ligurian coastline.
If time permits, enjoy a stroll through the iconic seaside village of Portofino before returning to your hotel for a relaxing evening and dinner.
Day 8 - The Aquarium of Genoa
Located in the heart of the Porto Antico, the Genoa Aquarium is Italy’s largest and one of Europe’s most renowned. It offers an extraordinary journey through global marine ecosystems, featuring over 12,000 animals and a strong focus on ocean conservation.
The day begins with The World of Invertebrates, an engaging activity exploring the main groups of marine invertebrates, their traits, and adaptations. Participants will also study plankton and observe microscopic organisms under a stereoscope.
Next, during Mediterranean Sea: Biodiversity at Risk, you’ll discover the unique ecosystems of the “Mare Nostrum,” understand how geological and climatic factors have shaped them, and discuss the human impact on these fragile environments.
The experience also includes a boat tour of the Porto Antico and lunch at the aquarium, rounding off a full day dedicated to marine life and conservation.

Day 9 - Departure
